Program Description:
This program goes beyond the basics and affords psychotherapists an opportunity to address the more complicated and advanced issues involved in treating anxiety disorders. This is a full day program divided into a morning workshop and afternoon roundtable on case consultations���all geared to the experienced, licensed psychotherapist.
Program Presenter:
Alec Pollard, PhD, is Director of the Anxiety Disorders Center (ADC) at Saint Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute and Professor of Community and Family Medicine at Saint Louis University. He is Chair of the Clinical Advisory Board of the Anxiety Disorders Association of America, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation, and a consultant for the National Institute of Mental Health Anxiety Disorders Education Project.
Continuing Education Credits:
This program is co-sponsored by the Missouri Institute of Mental Health, University of Missouri-Columbia, and Forest Institute of Professional Psychology. The Missouri Institute of Mental Health is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. The Missouri Institute of Mental Health maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The morning workshop is offered for 4.3 Continuing Education credits. Participants must attend the entire session to receive CE credits. No partial credit will be issued. The University of Missouri-Columbia, Missouri Institute of Mental Health (MIMH) will be responsible for this program and maintain a record of your continuing education credits earned. The Missouri Institute of Mental Health will award 4.3 clock hours or 5.2 contact hours (.5 CEUs) for the morning session. The MIMH credit will fulfill Clinical Social Work and Psychologist licensure requirements in the State of Missouri. If your profession is not listed above or if you are from outside of Missouri, check with your Board prior to completing this program to ensure you are seeking the proper accreditation.
