Program Description:

A practical and thought-provoking guide to diagnosis will be provided for each of three extremely important topics within DSM-IV-TR: mood. The session will provide 45 minutes of diagnostic criteria, case-based examples, and clinical insights useful to frontline mental health workers. The tone will be conversational–and interaction will be encouraged.

Program Presenter:

Tom Minogue, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist in a 300-member group practice, as well as a clinical assistant professor on the medical school faculty at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to his residency in psychiatry, he was a rural family practitioner, surgeon, and ER doctor. He lectures widely, has numerous TV and radio appearances to his credit, and has taught and consulted administratively both in the U.S. and throughout the Caribbean.

The Missouri Institute of Mental Health will award 1 clock hour or 1.2 contact hours (.1 CEU) for this activity.MIMH credit will fulfill Clinical Social Work and Psychologist licensure requirements in the State of Missouri. Attendees with licensure from other states are responsible for seeking appropriate continuing education credit, from their respective boards for completing this program.
