Alcohol and Drug Use Disorders: An Overview

This half-day workshop will provide a review course on the diagnosis and treatment of addictions. This course will review the diagnostic criteria, provide easy to remember pearls, review the pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment options, and review current and potential medications to treat these disorders. Syed Pirzada Sattar, MD, will present this program. He is the Medical Director of the Substance Use Disorders Program, Nebraska Western Iowa VA Healthcare System,Omaha; Director of Addictions Fellowship Training, Creighton University School of Medicine; and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Sanford School of Medicine, University of South Dakota.
