Program Description:

Naomi Soule is a District Manager with Rehabilitation Services for the Blind, which is a state agency within the Family Support Division. Naomi will explain the services that RSB provides to people who are blind in the state of Missouri, and the referral process. She will also talk to us about how we can work together to provide the best services for our clients.

Program Presenter:

Naomi Soule, graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Broadcasting in 1978. She worked in radio programming until 1981. Naomi joined IBM in 1981 and held positions in employment and event management until 1993. Naomi and her husband Terry were the morning team on KBXR in Columbia, Missouri until 1995. Naomi started working for Missouri Rehabilitation Services for the Blind in 1995 as an Employment Specialist, and has been a District Manager for the past 12 years. She serves on the ADA Advisory Committee for Metro, served on the Starkloff Disability Institute Leadership Committee, as well as various local committees in the St. Louis area. She also has held many committee responsibilities with the American Council of the Blind. Naomi was elected to the Council’s national Board of Directors in 2004, and served one term. She and her husband Terry are the co-hosts of “The Acoustic Edge Sunday afternoons on the Lindenwood University station, KCLC, 89.1.

The Missouri Institute of Mental Health will award 1 clock hour or 1.2 contact hours (.1 CEU) for this activity.MIMH credit will fulfill Clinical Social Work and Psychologist licensure requirements in the State of Missouri. Attendees with licensure from other states are responsible for seeking appropriate continuing education credit, from their respective boards for completing this program.
