Jenny Wiley, is the Coordinator of Disaster Readiness for the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH). Jenny is responsible for planning for the mental health response in disasters, working with DMH facilities in developing effective disaster plans and participating in interagency planning meetings with the Department of Health and Senior Services and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA). Jenny serves on the Special Needs Population steering committee that developed the State Special Needs Annex, Annex X. She also serves on the Missouri Disaster Recovery Partnership. Jenny provides training throughout the state for First Responders, Mental Health and Healthcare Workers and Schools. She teaches the post-certified course: “The Psychological Impact of Trauma on Responders” for the Missouri Highway Patrol Narcotics Safety Officers.

Jenny has a Masters degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She volunteers with the American Red Cross and has responded to tornadoes in Missouri and to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in Alabama.

The Missouri Institute of Mental Health will award 1 clock hour or 1.2 contact hours (.1 CEU) for this activity.MIMH credit will fulfill Clinical Social Work and Psychologist licensure requirements in the State of Missouri. Attendees with licensure from other states are responsible for seeking appropriate continuing education credit, from their respective boards for completing this program.
