Social Work Supervision: Overcoming Common Challenges

June 27 @ 1:00 pm 4:00 pm CDT

As if practicing social work was not challenging enough, many find that providing social work supervision presents additional challenges. These challenges can include supervisee skill & development, agency issues, process & systemic issues & the licensing requirements. Being able to effectively address these challenges will lead to a more productive & satisfying supervisory experience, both the supervisor & supervisee, as well as, better prepare the supervisee to become licensed, which can shorten supervision time & lead to more competent independently practicing social workers in the field.

Participants will be able to

  • Identify common challenges of social work supervision
  • Identify strategies for addressing supervision challenges
  • Identify current social work licensure requirements
