Dr. Mei Lin’s presentation is based upon data analysis of interviews with 500 injection drug users in St. Louis recruited through respondent-driven sampling. The data were collected as part of the National HIV Behavioral Surveillance project, an effort directed by the CDC with local partners. In Missouri, partners for this project were the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and the Missouri Institute of Mental Health.
