  • The warning signs of suicide
  • The state’s suicide prevention plan
  • Current suicide prevention efforts underway in Missouri
  • Available resources, both online and around the state.
  • Program Presenter:

    Scott Perkins, LCSW, earned his MSW, with a concentration in Policy, Planning and Administration, from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He is certified as a Crisis Worker from the American Association of Suicidology and is a certified instructor of several suicide prevention programs. In his role as Project Director at the Missouri Institute of Mental Health, he oversees the implementation of the Missouri Youth Suicide Prevention Project.

The Missouri Institute of Mental Health will award 1 clock hour or 1.2 contact hours (.1 CEU) for this activity.MIMH credit will fulfill Clinical Social Work and Psychologist licensure requirements in the State of Missouri. Attendees with licensure from other states are responsible for seeking appropriate continuing education credit, from their respective boards for completing this program.
