Program Description:

Due to the home and community-based location of their work, community support staff and other in-home care providers have unique challenges in maintaining appropriate clinical boundaries with their clients. In this session participants will explore numerous potential pitfalls that can ensnare well-meaning professionals. Discussion of specific problems from participants own experience will be encouraged. The Code of Ethics for Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners will be used to demonstrate how an ethics code can be beneficial in guiding practice.
