Program Description:

Teen Suicide Prevention: Act Now will focus on signs, symptoms and the treatment of depression in youth. Reducing stigma and how to ACT (acknowledge, care and tell) is an integral part of her program.

Program Presenter:

Rebecca Musgrave, MA will present this half-day workshop. Ms. Musgrave is the Program Director for Dexter Community Regional Healthcare Foundation ��� Suicide Prevention Resource Center serving 15-counties in Southeast Missouri. As a Suicide Prevention Educator, she lectures to schools, clinics, hospitals, agencies and universities about suicide warning signs, depression and other mental illnesses and suicide prevention and intervention.

Continuing Education Credits:

The University of Missouri-Columbia, Missouri Institute of Mental Health will be responsible for this program and maintain a record of your continuing education credits earned. The Missouri Institute of Mental Health will award 3.3 clock hours or 3.9 contact hours (.4 CEUs) for this activity.

The MIMH credit will fulfill Clinical Social Work and Psychologist licensure requirements in the State of Missouri. If your profession is not listed above or if you are from outside of Missouri, check with your Board prior to completing this program to ensure you are seeking the proper accreditation.

The Missouri Substance Abuse Counselors��� Certification Board, Inc. has pre-approved this training for 3.3 contact hours.

MIMH is a National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP���) and may offer NBCC approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. MIMH is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.

This program has been approved for 3.3 clock hours of continuing education credit.
