Program Presenter: Niels Beck, PhD received his Bachelor’s and Doctorate Degrees from Saint Louis University, and his Master’s Degree from Southern Illinois University. He currently serves as Interim Chair of the Department of Psychiatry, University of Missouri-Columbia Medical School where he is also Chief Psychologist, a member of the Sports Medicine Staff and Professor of Psychiatry. He has also worked extensively with Mid-Missouri Mental Health Center. Dr. Beck has authored or co-authored dozens of articles and made numerous presentations on topics ranging from athletes with disordered eating to pain management to the epidemiology of childhood depressive disorders.
